Tour Schedule

  1. Day 1

    Arrival in Hanoi, Transfer to Sapa

    Land at Noi Bai International Airport and transfer directly to Sapa. Settle into your hotel, then stroll the lakeside town as mountain mist rolls in. A quiet welcome dinner and early night before the real scenery begins

  2. Day 2

    Lao Chai Villages and Fansipan Summit

    Walk through Lao Chai and Ta Van villages, meeting Black Hmong and Giay families among terraced rice fields. Afternoon, ride the two-stage Fansipan cable car to the 3,143m summit of Indochina for 360-degree views across the Hoang Lien Son range

  3. Day 3

    Overland to Ha Giang via Ha Thanh Waterfall

    Scenic drive east into Ha Giang province. Stop at Ha Thanh Waterfall, then wander Tay ethnic villages to see stilt houses, water wheels and daily highland life. Overnight in Ha Giang city

  4. Day 4

    Quan Ba Pass, Yen Minh and Meo Vac

    Cross the Heaven's Gate viewpoint at Quan Ba, wind through the pine forests of Yen Minh and tackle the hairpin turns of Tham Ma Pass. Arrive in Meo Vac as the sun sets over the Dong Van Karst Plateau for a homestay dinner

  5. Day 5

    Meo Vac to Ba Be Lake

    Long but rewarding drive through Cao Bang's hidden valleys to Ba Be National Park. Arrive by mid-afternoon to unwind at a Tay stilt-house homestay on the lake. Optional sunset kayak before a family-style dinner

  6. Day 6

    Ban Gioc Waterfall and Nguom Ngao Cave

    Head to the Chinese border to stand before Ban Gioc, Southeast Asia's largest waterfall. Explore Nguom Ngao Cave's surreal stalactite formations in the afternoon. Overnight in a rural homestay with a traditional highland feast

  7. Day 7

    Cao Bang Scenic Drive back to Hanoi

    Return to Hanoi via Cao Bang with photo stops at cultural viewpoints and roadside markets. Arrive in the capital for a final night in the Old Quarter

  8. Day 8

    Departure from Hanoi

    A relaxed breakfast at your hotel before a private transfer to Noi Bai Airport for your onward flight. Leave with memories of Vietnam's wildest north
