Three guided days through Saigon's war history and the coconut country of Ben Tre, then a flight out to Phu Quoc for five nights. The island half is entirely unstructured - white sand, clear water, and the option to do nothing about it.
Itinerary - 9 Days 8 Nights
Day 1
Arrival in Ho Chi Minh City
Met at Tan Son Nhat International Airport by your guide and driver for the transfer to the hotel.
Day 2 · B
Saigon half-day tour
The Reunification Palace, once the residence of the President of South Vietnam, and the events leading up to the fall of Saigon in 1975. Then the War Remnants Museum and its collection of photographs and artefacts documenting the war. Finally Notre-Dame Cathedral, built 1877-1883 from materials imported from France - exterior only, as it is under renovation.

Discover the Mekong Delta
South to Ben Tre, the "Land of Coconuts". A boat through quiet waterways and mangrove forest to workshops where bricks are made by hand and coconuts processed into everything from oil to candy, with tropical fruit, sweets and traditional music along the way. A walk to a nearby home where sleeping mats are woven by hand - you can try it. A tuk-tuk through villages, rice paddies and coconut groves, lunch at a local restaurant, then a rowing boat along a palm-lined canal before the transfer back to Saigon.

Flight to Phu Quoc
Transfer to the airport for the domestic flight to the island, then hotel transfer and the rest of the day at leisure.
Days 5 · B
8: Phu Quoc at leisure
Four full days to relax or explore at your own pace - white-sand beaches, clear water, and a laid-back island pace.
Day 9 · B
Phu Quoc → Ho Chi Minh City
Transfer to the airport for the return flight to Ho Chi Minh City and your onward connection.
