The no-flight version of the Saigon-plus-beach formula: three guided days through the city and Ben Tre, then a private car three and a half hours up the coast to Mui Ne for five nights of sand dunes, wind and very little else. Which is rather the point.
Itinerary - 9 Days 8 Nights
Day 1
Arrive Ho Chi Minh City
Met at Tan Son Nhat International Airport by guide and driver and transferred to the hotel.
Day 2 · B
Highlights of Saigon, half-day tour
The Reunification Palace, former residence of the President of South Vietnam, and the events leading to the fall of Saigon in 1975. The War Remnants Museum, opened September 1975, with its artefacts, photographs, military vehicles and aircraft. Then Notre-Dame Cathedral, built 1877-1883 from imported French materials - exterior only during renovation.

Coconut country, Mekong Delta
South to Ben Tre, known for its coconut production. A boat through winding waterways and mangrove forest, stopping at traditional brick and coconut-processing workshops with sweets, fruit and live local music. A short walk to a family home to see sleeping mats woven by hand - and try it yourself. A tuk-tuk ride through hamlets, rice fields and coconut groves, lunch of Mekong specialities, and a rowing boat along a shaded canal before the drive back.
Day 4 · B
Ho Chi Minh City → Mui Ne
A private car with your guide, three and a half to four hours up the coast. The rest of the day is at leisure.
Days 5 · B
8: Mui Ne at leisure
Four full days. The beach, the white and red sand dunes, the Fairy Stream, or optional activities at your own pace - this is Vietnam's kitesurfing coast.
Day 9 · B
Mui Ne → Saigon airport
Transfer back to Tan Son Nhat International Airport for your departure flight.
