Hanoi - Sapa - Cat Cat Village - Sin Chai

#### 06:00-06:30 - Pickup (Hanoi Old Quarter) Bus depart Sapa via Noi Bai-Lao Cai highway.

#### 10:00 - Highway to Lao Cai City Comfortable short break.

#### 13:00-13:30 - Arrive Sapa town Lunch with local Vietnamese dishes. Hotel check-in.

#### 14:30 - Cat Cat village trek Black H'mong home at foot of Fansipan Peak. Trek down to valley bottom waterfall (French Hydraulic Power Station). Photos with bridge + waterfall. Walk back uphill to Sapa.

#### Continue - Sin Chai village Located on Fansipan slopes.

#### 17:00 - Return Sapa town for dinner Free time explore Sapa Market + town.

#### Overnight - 3-star hotel (or 2-star)

Sapa - Y Linh Ho - Lao Chai - Ta Van - Sapa - Hanoi

#### 07:00 - Breakfast at hotel

#### 08:30 - Trek begins (~6km southeast) Along Muong Hoa valley slopes to Y Linh Ho village (Black H'mong).

#### Continue - 3km walk to Lao Chai village H'mong people. Walk through small tunnel/over small bridge into Muong Hoa valley.

#### 11:30 - Arrive Ta Van village (Dzay minority) Strong Chinese cultural influence.

#### 12:00 - Lunch at local restaurant + rest

#### 14:00 - Bus ride back to Sapa

#### 14:30 - Free time in Sapa for refreshment

#### 15:00-15:30 - Bus back to Hanoi

#### 21:00 - Arrive Hanoi, tour ends

When is the best time of year to visit Sapa?

The best time really depends on what you want to see. September to November is stunning, with the rice terraces turning golden and very little rain. March to May is cool with flowers in bloom. June to August has lush green rice but more rain. We'd avoid December to February, as it gets cold and cloud cover sticks around for days.

Is 9km of trekking on Day 2 too much?

We can ask your guide to slow the pace down and build in extra rest stops, no problem. If you're travelling with elderly guests or young kids under 8, our 2-day homestay version with the shorter Lao Chai - Ta Van trek might be a better fit.

Is the 3-star hotel actually decent?
