Central Vietnam done from the back of a bike instead of the back of a bus. Vespas through Hoi An's lanes and out into the artisan villages, motorbikes up Son Tra Mountain in Da Nang, and then the Hai Van Pass itself - jungle-covered hills, the coast falling away below, a freshwater spring to swim in and a barbecue lunch before rolling into Hue.
Itinerary - 6 Days 5 Nights
Day 1 · D
Hoi An
Settle into a boutique stay with rice-paddy views and a pool. In the evening, the first ride: Vespas out for a street food tour, stopping at local spots to eat properly.
Day 2 · B, L
Hoi An
On the back of the Vespas into the countryside - artisan villages, rice paddies, quiet back roads. Then a hands-on cooking class with a local chef. The afternoon is yours: the hotel, the old town, the beach, or sunset drinks over the rice terraces.
Day 3 · B, D
Hoi An → Da Nang
Ride out of Hoi An up the coast to Da Nang and check into a beachfront hotel. The afternoon is open - lunch, the markets, the sand, or SUP and surfing. Later, motorbikes up Son Tra Mountain for the winding jungle roads, the ocean views and Monkey Mountain. At night, Da Nang's after-dark food scene.
Day 4 · B, L
Da Nang → Hue via the Hai Van Pass
The big one. A full day on the bikes over the Hai Van Pass, through jungle hills and along the coastline. A stop at a natural freshwater spring to cool off, then a laid-back barbecue lunch in the open before getting back on the road. Into Hue by late afternoon, with the evening free.
Day 5 · B
Hue
An optional morning on Vespas into Hue's imperial past - the Citadel and the historical sites with a local guide. The afternoon is a choose-your-own: streets, cafes, markets, craft spots. Last night of the trip.
Day 6 · B
Hue
The trip wraps up after breakfast.
