The two days between Saigon and Phu Quoc turned into the trip itself. A wooden river boat down the Mekong with a night moored on the water, orchard villages reached on foot, the Cai Rang floating market at dawn, then the road to Rach Gia and the ferry out to the island.
Itinerary - 2 Days 1 Night
Day 1
Saigon → Cai Be → Can Tho (L, D) - ~11h
Morning hotel pick-up in Saigon (district 1 and parts of district 3 only) and transfer to the pier. Lunch onboard as the boat moves through the delta. Afternoon guided walk into villages and fruit orchards on the Mekong shore, then back aboard for sunset from the top deck with refreshments. Night moored on the river.
Day 2
Cai Rang Floating Market → Rach Gia → Phu Quoc (B, L) - ~9h
Morning tea on deck, then out to the Cai Rang floating market. Road transfer to Rach Gia with lunch on the bus, ferry across to Phu Quoc, arriving at Bai Vong pier. Shuttle to your Phu Quoc hotel ends the tour.
